Attending Milton Hershey School was a turning point for me—a place that provided not just education, but a sense of stability, community, and hope during challenging times in a working-class family.
It instilled in me values of resilience, hard work, and compassion, while introducing me to structured ways to manage stress. But even there, I found my true refuge in nature's quiet power. Family outings to the scenic trails of Berks County or along the peaceful Schuylkill River became my escape, where I'd sit, meditate, and let the fresh breeze clear the mental fog.
Those debriefing sessions—grounding myself in the earth's calm—showed me that wellness is about stepping out of the daily flow to heal and reconnect. Meditation turned into my anchor, helping me build emotional resilience and a deep bond with nature that carried me through life's tougher chapters.
As I grew, those insights only strengthened.
